 Good Health & Wellness
A personalized cancer vaccine developed by Moderna and Merck showed encouraging early results in a late-stage melanoma trial, building on earlier data from the same treatment approach. The vaccine is designed to help the immune system recognize signals specific to a patient’s tumor alongside existing treatment.
The results are not a finished cure, and researchers will need to continue studying the treatment. Still, they point toward a future in which cancer care can become more precisely matched to the biology of each person’s disease.

 Humans Are Good
New York City is extending late-night soccer at five fields across the five boroughs, giving night-shift workers and other late-day players more chances to join a game. The program treats recreation as something that should fit real lives.
A field that stays open later can become more than a place to exercise. It can offer neighbors a regular meeting point, a team to join, and a little room for play after the workday ends.

 Good Ideas
Japanese inventor Kinya Shimizu is experimenting with ways to draw small amounts of electricity from soil, food waste, and other everyday materials. The work explores the electrical activity created by microorganisms and the possibility of using it for modest, low-power applications.
This is not a new power grid waiting underground. It is a reminder that useful ideas can begin by looking differently at what is already around us. Soil, scraps, and living systems may hold more possibilities than we usually notice.

 The Good Daily Original
A more useful question than “What would I do at my best?” is “What is the smallest version of this practice I could still do on a difficult day?” A five-minute walk, three honest sentences, or one message can keep a habit connected to your identity.
The goal is not to make every day productive. It is to build practices that can survive the days when productivity is not the point.
