A remarkable act of sibling love

A New York man will forever remember turning 49 after an extraordinary act of generosity from his older sister. According to PEOPLE, Troy Rowe shared how his sister Kim stepped forward as a donor after he was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease, ultimately undergoing transplant surgery on his birthday.

Three months later, both siblings are recovering well, and Troy says he feels like himself again. Their story speaks to a kind of love that rarely seeks attention: the instinctive care that exists between family members who would do almost anything for one another.

Write. Collect. Pray. A simple way to pray continually.

So many times we hear a prayer request from a friend, at church, or in passing, and we mean to come back to it… but life moves quickly.

PrayerBowls was created to help us hold onto those moments. Write down the people and things on your heart, collect them, and return to them in prayer—again and again.

She turned a travel challenge into a solution

A teacher and mother from Greater Manchester, England has recently launched a new travel platform designed to make vacation planning easier for people with disabilities, health conditions, and young families. As Good News Post reports, Jacqueline Manning created GoTripAble after years of struggling to find practical accessibility information that often goes beyond what traditional booking sites provide.

The platform includes details like terrain, walkability, transport access, and nearby facilities to allow for more informed travel decisions. At its heart, the project is about removing unnecessary barriers and creating more opportunities for people to explore the world with greater confidence and independence.

A breakthrough in rehabilitation brings new hope

Chinese researchers have developed a lightweight wearable robot that could help children with severe muscular atrophy rebuild strength and mobility through rehabilitation. Shared in Nature, the device is designed to stimulate dormant nerves and muscles by applying gentle, adaptive resistance rather than assisting movement directly.

In clinical trials, six children who had previously lost the ability to stand experienced muscle growth and were eventually able to stand independently after training with the device. The progress offers an encouraging glimpse into how technology and medicine can work together to create new possibilities for children living with complex conditions.

American Brain Foundation is helping unlock the mysteries of the brain by funding research into neurological diseases and disorders that affect millions of lives – bringing together science, hope, and innovation.

Why wonder might be good for our mental health

A growing body of research suggests that experiencing awe may be one of the most powerful tools for mental well-being. Whether sparked by nature, music, art, or a breathtaking view, moments of wonder are shown to help reduce stress, strengthen social connection, and deepen our sense of meaning.

According to The Conversation, researchers believe awe temporarily shifts our focus away from ourselves and toward the wider world, helping us feel calmer and more connected. And perhaps most encouragingly, a walk outside, a beautiful sunset, or simply paying closer attention to our surroundings may be enough to invite a little more of it into our days.

Tonight’s sky has something special in store

A rare blue micromoon will light up the sky tonight, offering stargazers a chance to witness one of the year's more unusual celestial events. AP reports, today’s full moon is both a blue moon (the second full moon of

the month) and a micromoon, meaning it will appear slightly smaller and dimmer than usual because it's at one of the farthest points in its orbit from Earth. Sometimes wonder is found in looking up and catching a rare moment unfolding overhead.
